Thermoelectric cooling is recognized as a practical, cost-effective solution for many cooling and heating applications, from industrial temperature control to consumer products, laboratory and scientific equipment, military and aerospace hardware, medical instruments, telecommunications and other miscellaneous uses.

The reasons for its increasingly wide spread use are:

· All solid state device, no moving parts, capable of refrigerating to -1500C

· Extremely small size - (0.2 cm3 to 5 cm3

· Vibration free, noise free, precision temperature control

· High reliability due to solid state construction.

QualityTEC® Thermoelectric Modules provide all of the benefits of other TEC's (thermoelectric cooling devices) with the added advantage of the lowest price anywhere.

A QualityTEC® Thermoelectric Module is an electronic component, comprised of special semiconductors, which functions as a small heat pump. With a low voltage DC source applied across the module, heat will be moved through the module from one side to the other. One face of the module will get hot while the other side will become cold.

Because of these characteristics, QualityTEC® Thermoelectric Modules can be used for both cooling and/or heating, making them ideal for precision temperature control applications.
